David M. Gravely, aka, Corona Red grew up in the notorious crazy borough of Queens, New York. Inspired by a Hip-Hop Sweet 16 house party for his sister, thrown by their parents in the basement of their home in Jamaica, Queens, which was the first raw hip-hop at its purest form ever heard or seen by C-Red at the age of eight. Spending every weekend and every summer with his grandparents made Corona, Queens his second home.

Hearing the Sugar Hill Gang on the radio is what gave him a dream. A similar dream that has lifted hundreds of ghetto youths out of the urban slums, the urban music! Blessed with gifts of delivering explosive punch lines, catchy hooks and a craftsman at rappin’, the seasoned veteran producer extraordinaire is in a league of his own.

Producing and teaming up with the very lovely & talented Maiko Sato from Japan, a soulful singer/musician, creating tight songs such as “Bounce 2 Dis”. On the grind harder than ever, C-Red & Maiko are here…Producing quality music independently, with versatility.

Maiko Sato-Gravely was born June 14, 1982, in Ibaraki, Japan. Since she was 5 years old, Maiko began playing the piano. At the age of 13 she started to write music scores.

After graduating Junior High School Maiko took voice lessons and started singing in local clubs. In April 2001, Maiko decided to come to the United States to learn the English language and pursue a career in music.

In February 2002 Maiko met C-Red, and DJ Mista Sinista. During October of the same year, C-Red and Maiko performed “Bounce 2 Dis” with DJ Sinista at a club in Tribeca during a CMJ talent showcase, Maiko sang “Scat” and played the keyboard. On the grind, harder than ever, C-Red and Maiko are here…Producing quality music independently, with versatility.
